I’ve been getting tattooed and hanging around tattoo shops for the last 20 years making it safe to say tattoos have long held a fascination with me and the pursuit of becoming a tattooist has been a long-term goal of mine. Having been active in the local and regional art scene for years I was able to make the connections to begin my tattoo apprenticeship in late 2011 with the crew at Lucky Rabbit including Craig Mathis who would become my main mentor. I was fortunate enough to become co-owner of Black Sword Alliance in early 2016 when previous owner and founder of Black Sword Alliance, Sean King, relocated to Oregon and sold the shop to myself, Joshua Chatwin, Samantha Leyes, and Jay Williams.
